Who Is Alexandre-Émile Béguyer de Chancourtois?

Origianl Telluric Helix Document Alexandre-Émile Béguyer de Chancourtois was born in Paris, January 20, 1820 and died in 1886. He was a French geologist who arranged the elements in order of increasing atomic weights. He plotted the elements on a cylinder, which he called the telluric helix. The paper, which used geological terms and was published without the diagram, was completely ignored until the work of Mendeléev.
